To help raise awareness of the magnitude of mental illness and the effect it has on individuals as well as our society, to assist in decreasing the stigma associated with is, and to support research for effective treatments.

The Todd Thomas Foundation was founded by his family in the year 2000 to celebrate Todd's life and honor his memory.  

The Foundation is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona and is a component fund within the structure of the Arizona Community Foundation.
The Arizona Community Foundation was founded in 1978 and awards more than $853 million in grants, scholarships, and loans.

  • 450 million people currently suffer from a mental illness, according to a report published by the World Health Organization.
  • 1 in 4 Americans currently suffers from at least one mental illness.
  • 80% of people suffering from a schizophrenic disorder can reduce symptoms and the possibility of relapses, via medical help, therapy, and family assistance.​
  • Around 9.5% of US citizens above 18 years old encounter a depressive illness every year.
